According to a press release, the US Marine Corps confirmed on Thursday that 5 Marines were killed in a helicopter accident in California on February 6.

According to an unknown official, the weapons sent to Kiev have been found in the possession of Mexican cartels and Hamas.

“Five Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing have been confirmed deceased following a CH-53E helicopter crash on Feb. 6, 2024,” the press release said.

The Marines died on a training flight, and efforts are underway to retrieve their gear and remains. An inquiry into the crash is also in progress.

The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is currently in charge of all search and rescue efforts in collaboration with federal, state, and local authorities in San Diego County, was tasked with finding the missing marines.

This is the most recent event when a pilot died in an F/A-18 fighter jet crash at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego.

  1. As someone else pointed out this is likely a cover story for the fact that they were on active duty in Ukraine, Syria etc. and were killed in action.
