China has been reported to forcefully take anal swabs from Americans and Japanese for COVID-19 testing. The move has now erupted into an international dispute. The test involves inserting a cotton-tipped swab about 1-2 inches into the rectum, which will then be tested for the virus.
It’s only after a week when US diplomats stated that they have gone through the anal swab testing, Tokyo also claims that China is doing the same with Japanese people.
An international dispute has again heated for the use of anal Covid swab test of the people coming to China from other nations.
It has only been a week since the US diplomats reported about being tested by the same process; Japan has now asked China to stop doing the same test to Japanese people.

The chief cabinet secretary Katsunobu Kato told that the government of Japan had got the information about the Japanese citizens who had been required to take the said Covid Swab test, from the Japanese Embassy in China and people who have gone through the process told that it had caused them great psychological pain.
Whereas the Chinese Foreign Ministry was forced to deny the fact that they tested the US diplomat through anal swab test after US media told that they have raised the matter before the officials at the American State Department.
The spokesperson of the Chinese government said in a daily news briefing in Beijing that one such test may have been given in error but he further said that as far as his knowledge China has never required US diplomats staff posted in China to go through anal swab test.
It is not clear yet how many Japanese diplomats had been asked to go through the said test.
