According to the anonymous whistleblower who testified before the committee, the CIA offered six analysts hush money to shut them up about the COVID lab leak.

Six CIA analysts who came to the conclusion that Covid-19 originated from a lab in Wuhan, China were given hush money, according to allegations made to Congress by a “multi-decade, senior-level, current” CIA officer.

The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence sent letters to CIA Director William J. Burns and former CIA Chief Operating Officer Andrew Makridis informing them of the alleged payoff.

SSCP Chairman Brad Wenstrup and HPSCI Chairman Mike Turner describe the testimony of “a highly credible senior-level CIA officer” who said the CIA utilized a “significant monetary incentive” in an effort to invalidate Covid lab leak information examined by its investigators in their letter to Burns.

According to the anonymous whistleblower who testified before the committees, six of the seven CIA analysts tasked with determining Covid’s origins “believed the intelligence and science were sufficient to make a low-confidence assessment that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.”

The Covid Discovery Team members were described as “multi-disciplinary and experienced officers with significant scientific expertise” by the chairman, making them perfectly suited to provide that kind of evaluation. However, the CIA allegedly dangled “financial incentives” in front of the officers in an effort to “change their conclusion in favor of a zoonotic origin” since it was dissatisfied with the analysts’ findings.

“The seventh member of the Team, who also happened to be the most senior, was the lone officer to believe COVID-19 originated through zoonosis,” the committee chairmen noted.

The whistleblower claimed that there may have been a financial flip-flop that resulted in “the eventual public determination of uncertainty.”

According to a 10-page declassified report (pdf below) from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released in June, the CIA is one of only two intelligence organizations that continues to assert that it is “unable to determine the precise origin of the COVID-19 pandemic, as both hypotheses rely on significant assumptions or face challenges with conflicting reporting.”

In an episode of her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” that aired on September 6, Megyn Kelly confessed she regretted getting the COVID shot due to a vaccine injury.

By September 26, the committee chairmen asked the CIA to turn over all correspondence, financial transactions, and document material pertaining to the agency’s viral origins research team. Additionally, they demanded that the CIA stop communicating with other government departments on behalf of the COVID-19 discovery team.

“Any improper influence exerted by the CIA will be investigated to ensure accountability from the intelligence community,” the committee chairmen warned.

The Republican chairs wrote to Makridis asking for a voluntary interview that would be transcribed so they could understand the “central role” he played in forming the Covid discovery team and failing to find the virus’s origins.

Given the growing number of government organizations, including the FBI and the U.S. Department of Energy, that has ultimately acknowledged Covid likely originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab, the CIA’s broad rejection of lab leak data is uncommon.

The HPSCI determined in 2022 that intelligence agencies, including the CIA, “downplayed the possibility that SARS-CoV2 was connected to China’s bioweapons program based in part on input from outside experts.” Those same agencies, along with bureaucratscorporate media, and Big Tech, scrambled in 2020 to censor suggestions that the virus leaked from a Chinese lab specializing in gain-of-function coronavirus research.

The study done by the WIV lab personnel, who were the first to become ill at the start of the epidemic, was eventually connected to U.S. taxpayer monies by documents received through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in June.
