At the request of researchers from Communist China, the NIH blocked access to data on the early genetic sequences of COVID-19, material that could help determine the virus’s origins. Additionally, COVID-19 was developed in Wuhan lab with US funding, according to the bombshell claim made by former EcoHealth VP.

COVID-19 Developed In Wuhan Lab With US Funding Former EcoHealth VP Makes Bombshell Claim

Another person has come forth to claim that the roots of COVID-19 can be traced back to US federal funding supervised by White House COVID adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, a figure hard for medical establishment defenders to ignore: a former vice president for the medical non-government organization EcoHealth Alliance.

According to Just the News, former EcoHealth VP Andrew Huff made the claim in a packet of information that was reportedly given to Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin by attorney Thomas Renz, who represents Huff and other COVID-related mandate critics. Huff also functioned as an infantryman in the Army in Iraq and as a research fellow in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“The process of developing SARS-COV2 was also described in detail in the proposal submitted to, and ultimately funded by, the National Institutes of Health (HHS NIH), The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), by EcoHealth Alliance with the WIV and [University of North Carolina] listed as collaborators,” Huff says in a sworn declaration.

“Anthony Fauci funded the creation of SARS-COV2 and lied to Congress about funding Gain-of-Function work,” Renz summarized. “Anthony Fauci and others coordinated to cover-up the funding of the Gain-of-Function work that resulted in SARS-COV2.”

The idea that COVID evolved in a Chinese lab rather than in nature was vehemently denounced early on in the epidemic as false information that was damaging. However, as evidence grew by the middle of 2021, mainstream views started to accept it as a possibility.

Republican U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has taken a leading role in looking into Fauci, the departing director of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIAID), for his oversight in the U.S. government’s alleged involvement. Last May, Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee issued a report discovering “significant circumstantial evidence” that COVID spread from a leak at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

Under Fauci, NIAID authorized money for EcoHealth to investigate gain-of-function (GOF) research on coronaviruses at a number of locations, including WIV. GOF research comprises purposefully enhancing viruses to better understand their potential consequences.

Fauci and his supporters asserted that the work NIAID approved was not gain-of-function research and could not have resulted in COVID, but in January the right-leaning Project Veritas investigators leaked data they had discovered that, prior to submitting its funding request to NIAID, EcoHealth had already submitted it to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), which had rejected it on the premises that the project would violate an earlier moratorium on GOF research.

Among such records was a report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense in August 2021 by former DARPA fellow U.S. Marine Corps Major Joseph Murphy, who noted that “SARS-CoV-2 matches the SARS vaccine variants the NIH-EcoHealth program was making in Wuhan.”

Since then, emails have been made public, revealing that top scientists at the NIAID, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Wellcome Trust in London, and the Erasmus University Medical Center in the Netherlands have been cognizant of the potential of a lab leak as early as February 2020 but were reluctant to acknowledge it publicly for fear of undermining “science and international harmony.”

At the request of researchers from Communist China, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) blocked access to data on the early genetic sequences of COVID-19, material that could help determine the virus’s origins, in May, acting NIH director Lawrence Tabak acknowledged to Congress.

“The whole thing is scientific arrogance,” argues Robert Redfield, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and another supporter of the lab-leak theory. “There was an arrogance that they could contain this, that it wouldn’t escape it. I worked with the Chinese CDC for many years while in the military and while at the University of Maryland. And viruses get out of labs. That’s just the nature of the beast.”
