A former NY Times editor is the latest person to be vocal about covid and labels it as a “pandemic of bureaucracy” and then went onto further express all her frustrations regarding the pandemic while giving a backstage view of the whole thing.
In a compelling 2-minute speech on Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher, former New York Times opinion editor Bari Weiss advocated for a stop to COVID regulations across the United States, informing audiences that the coronavirus pandemic “is not real anymore.”
To set the tone, host Bill Maher stated that, in view of COVID-related regulations easing in certain European nations — such as the United Kingdom recently reversing face mask and “vaccine passport” rules — America could “get back to normal” by joining the fray.
Although fellow guest Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) attributed any decrease in COVID-related hospitalizations and fatalities to the “vaccine campaign,” Weiss simply stated, “I’m done with COVID.”
She chastised the administration for misleading the public by stating that limitations would be lifted after the COVID vaccines were implemented, then failing to follow through on this commitment.
“We were told, ‘You get the vaccine and you get back to normal.’ We haven’t gotten back to normal and it’s ridiculous at this point.”
Several of the government’s actions ostensibly aimed at preventing the spread of COVID, according to Weiss, are ineffective and fail to hold up under investigation.
Watch the video below:
“If you believe the science you will look at the data we did not have two years ago and you will find out that cloth masks do not do anything. You will realize that you can show your vaccine passport at a restaurant and still be asymptomatic and be carrying omicron, and you will realize most importantly that this is going to be remembered by the younger generation as a catastrophic moral crime.”
Likewise, according to Israeli researcher Prof. Gili Regev-Yochay of the famed Sheba Medical Center, a recent study suggests that COVID vaccines are “not good enough” to stop the transmission of the omicron mutation, and that the vaccine is “less effective” than it is against delta strain, for example.
Weiss said that many of her “liberal, progressive friends” also understand that the COVID measures do little to contain the spread, but “they do not want to say it out loud because they are scared to be called anti-vax or to be called science denial (sic) or to be smeared as a Trumper.”
Liberal media commentators pounced on Weiss, with CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner telling her to “grow up” and quit behaving “like a child” in response to her remarks.
“All that we’ve done is ask the public to wear a mask when you go out and about and get vaccinated,” Reiner said.
Don Lemon, a CNN presenter, joined the chorus of outrage, labeling Weiss “so irresponsible” for “making this about politics.”
Weiss, nonetheless, described the lockdowns and constant disruptions to individuals’ daily life as a “blunt instrument,” explaining that many people who were otherwise unaffected by the virus have suffered severe, even fatal, repercussions as a result of the requirements.
“In the past two years we’ve seen among young girls a 51 percent increase in self-harm. People are killing themselves. They’re anxious, they’re depressed, they’re lonely.”
“That is why we need to end it more than any inconvenience that it’s been to the rest of us,” she said. “I think it’s a pandemic of bureaucracy. It’s a pandemic of bureaucracy, it’s not it’s not real anymore.”
A pandemic of bureaucracy? It’s a lot more than that. How exactly does one describe a so-called pandemic that’s been preplanned, orchestrated, managed and entirely fraudulent from the very beginning?
A pandemic of lies is a far better description.
